Really great, Alan! Growing up on a ranch in New Mexico I've captured this shot many times in memory, but never on film.

I like that dragging the shutter speed to 1/30 softened the shot a bit and limited your depth of field to the subjects (though still f/6.3!).

Hi Alan,

I like the softness of the shot, too, yet there is still detail, not just some out of focus blob. The black/white presentation is nice too.

Hello Lucky,

Ah, I like this photograph! Iceland sounds like a cold and barren place - especially after it went broke in the credit crunch ;-).
But what you show here is that the horses in their thick furry coats have a very nice and warm interaction together. But at the same time, this photograph also shows the cold and barren wind through the hair of the horses. A nice combination!

Onfortunately my rating for today has been used up, otherwise it would have been dark green!

What a beautiful shot as the horses huddle together against the cold wind with their intertwined necks. Nice in black and white.
