Hellnar is an ancient fishing village on the westernmost part of the Snæfellsnes peninsula, Iceland.
The Town with the nearby glacier are thought to be one of the major energy centers of earth.
Supposed 'Ley lines' on both sides of Hellnar apparently connect with the pyramids in Egypt and in Southern Mexico.
Snæfellsnes has long been thought of as a spiritual place, with its ley lines and reports of the Huldafólk or Hidden People being common, as well as other spiritual influences.

This is beautiful, the image has drama and mood, and that fits in beautifully with your note telling of this place as spiritual and rife with other folk. The frame is excellent too, and that sky is superb. Really nicely done.

Congratulations for this beautiful picture. The B&W treatment is very elegant.
The composition is good, too.

Bon choix du noir et blanc pour mettre en valeur cette église qui semble concentrer toute la lumière et qui se dégage sur un ciel tourmenté.
Amitiés et bonne journée.

love this! I just wish B&W imagery got more recognition on the site than it does. This is a wonderfully uncluttered and beautifully rendered shot. Full of drama and atmosphere. Superb work!
Enjoy a peaceful weekend - B.

This shot just leapt off the page, even as a thumbnail! The simplicity of b&w works so well. The church and its tower stand out with immense clarity, holding the cross aloft and strongly placed in frame.
The sky is full of light and dark shades as the clouds seem to billow in the b/g.
Well done, a shot to enjoy.
My warm regards,

They talk about Scandinavian noir, this fits the bill perfectly even though Iceland is not strictly in Scandinavia. The mood is superb in this wonderful black and white presentation. Thanks for sharing.

Hello Trevor - Another arresting B&W shot. Congratulations on your excellent conversion, the light management and tonal range is top class and perfectly suited to the well composed shot and subject.

What a stunning composition. The lone church standing in this vast and desolate landscape has been superbly captured. The B&W has brought out the best in the textures and has created even more drama in the sky. Stunning work, very impressive. Congratulations.
Warmest wishes and have a good evening

A very inventive and creative composition!
A superb POV and wonderful use of B&W that just makes this so compelling and effective. I like the tonal quality here and the dramatic texturing it imparts to the shapes and lines. Stunning work and a sumptuous presentation.
