Photographer's Note

One more view from Stóra Grábrók crater. Lava fields in the foreground, a sheeps enclosure bottom of the crater (the squares delimited by walls of stone) and the beautiful green Nordurárdalur valley crossed by the road 1. The polarizer helped to make the colours better, the clouds playing with the ground made the rest ! Yes, when you look at the mountains on the left it looks like the image tilts but this is not the case : mountains in Iceland incline towards the Atlantic rift that crosses Iceland. This is something very spectacular in particular in Eastern fjords.
