Photographer’s Note
Another from the geysir series. This is the Strokkur geyser at Geysir, Iceland, and I spent quite some time there one day in February shooting it from many different angles. I enjoyed many of the results, especially in black and white, which brought out a strange texture in the bleak landscape. This shot shows clearly how the geysir looks at its peak form - it is blasting up quite high above, but at its base, clouds of steam and water billow out in curls. It is pretty interesting to watch, especially as most people are looking up at this point.

Hi Michael,
Geysir are always impressiv, but I prefer your other picture of geysirs taken from more far away that have better focus I think.
