Photographer’s Note
Hrafnseyri is a little place on the Arnarfjörður, where Jón Sigurðsson was born in the 19th century . He was the leader of the 19th century Icelandic independence movement. The republic of Iceland was founded on 17 June 1944, the date of Jón's birthday, and this date is now the Iceland's national holiday. Now this village is a museum.
