Photographer’s Note
Winter in Iceland: the sun does not rise, the weather changes from good to bad in a eye blink. Minutes later, when I took that picture, it begun to snow. I never saw the sea as black, the snow as white as in Iceland.
I hope you are amazed too.
Best regards
Joachim

Hi,
I can only agree with Anes, I miss it too, want to come back! I have been to Sudureyri during the summer...
Gorgeous picture here, never seen the sea so black either...great composition with the white fjord and the beach, the light is superb with that soft pink tone, great clarity and sharpness too, compliments. Hope to see more:-). I put it in my favorite theme.

Hi Joachim,
This is an absolutely fantastic shot! Never have I seen a sea as dark as this, not anywhere near the shore anyway... It looks so intimidating! Great contrast between the water and snow, nicely chosen POV, the pic has great clarity!
Regards,
Costa.

Hi Joachim,
Well this certainly looks like the real Iceland, not the summer stuff that we tourists get to see... ;o)
You're right, the contrast between black and white really is amazing, although with that pinkish orange glow in the sky the landscape becomes less severe. Nice composition too with the curve of the coastline drawing your eye into the picture and then off to the distance.
Very nice shot!
John
