As a traveler would make time to visit the Eiffel Tower in France, travelers to Iceland make time to pull the car over off the road and spend time with the wild horses.
There are approx 4 horses for every 1 person in Iceland, so for CLODO who wanted a dedication photo of people, perhaps he could settle for a dedication of a horse? :)
Poor CLODO! haha
I'll add a couple of WS photo's too :)
Enjoy your weekend everyone
A few people have mentioned the framing is a bit tight on the left of the frame....i should have mentioned i cropped the photo this way because there is a fence post and wiring and an ugly garbage can just to the side. Having those subjects in the shot was not in the plan :)
Thanks everyone !

Apart from that poor madman in the abandoned house this must have been the closest you got to people while in Iceland :-).
It's a nice portrait anyhow, and I like the WS photos too. These Icelandic horses are very popular in Sweden too, and I guess they are sold to many countries. Did you know that an Icelandic horse that leaves the island will never be allowed to return? That rule has been in force for about 800 years in order to protect the purity of the race.

haha, what a beautiful model you´ve found here:)seems to be a little bit shy:)
But seriously-I think it´s something new in your gallery, but your approach to this kind of photography is more than successful.(I like also your last photo enclosed in WS).
And concerning the title-you couldn´t find more suitable:)
Have a good weekend

Well taken, good sharpness, funny title also, these wild horses are a typically picture of Iceland. Well presented.

lolz at the title))) He does look that way. Awesome and stylish capture. I like the couple in ws too but they seem to have failed to come to terms who's sexier))

This one is really cool! Like your presentation a lot. The animal looks quite interesting in that pose and your cropping gives us possibility to see all details very well. Excellent work & great note! TFS.
Have a lovely weekend!

First off, I'm loving the title...thanks for the laugh! Secondly, I'm generally not drawn towards wildlife, but I can't help but appreciate this one. A really great close up look with some solid color and crisp detail. I find it amusing that it appears to be without eyes, which makes fun and a little creepy. ha I have to think that most people would tend to take this in a horizontal format, but your eye for composition works perfectly here, there's great focus and emphasis on the head and mane. I would fear the day if the horses ever banded together to rise up against the population, sounds like they'd have an easy victory with numbers on their side! :) Thanks for the humor! Have a great day.
Enjoy the rest of the weekend,

Ces fameux petits chevaux islandais ont un petit côté comique, je trouve. Tu as fait un beau portrait de cette star à la mèche rebelle.
Royaldevon (43407) 2013-04-28 1:17
Well Craig, quite a change from the model you captured in Poland! I love your title, it works so well with the toss of the long fringe over the eyes! This is a great close up, detailing the long hair, necessary in the cold winters, and the soft, sensitive mouth.
A little more space in front of the face would, maybe, have given a more relaxed impression.
Have a lovely Sunday,
I have enjoyed catching up on your gallery.
ktanska (29275) 2013-04-28 2:12
Lovely portrait that shows clearly that fur which is perfect against rough Icelandic weather.
I'm not sure of the title, I think hair on over the eyes gives more like shy impression.
I'd prefer slightly wider framing on the left.
marabu61 (11279) 2013-04-28 3:06
She is a beauty indeed. Lovely hairdo too. The seems to be aware of its sexiness indeed. Love the tone in tone brown colors of the horse and surounding landscape to.
have a good sunday

I can see this horse has a bright future in advertising, take two bottles in the shower? Not me... haha, really nicely seen, and I think that the hair is covering is eye is what makes him look so much like this is a do from the hairdressers.
Love the title :)
All the best

Hi dear Craig
Sorry for my late reaction , as I just back to Tokyo.
wow quite unusdual animal image from you! But same high quality and nice points and angle setting! Sharp and clear image as usual! Thanks a lot for your sharing with good work and have a good start of a new week!
Takero, just back to Tokyo
EstelleJ (921) 2013-04-28 22:18
Lovely "portrait" of this fashion-forward horse! As Noel mentioned, the horse looks like it just stepped out of a hair salon. Interesting compo and good focus, too. I like that the sky has no color - very indicative of Iceland in winter.
All the best,
CLODO (35754) 2013-04-29 0:37
I feel (s)he is sexy and knows it, but a little shy also in frot of your lens. The dead Beatles are back on earth?
Good note to explain your tight framing at left.
And now, a good dedication! not so easy?
Sonata11 (34007) 2013-04-29 5:59
this picture of wild horse has been taken wonderfully and perfectly well done like always. Love it, he/she is sooo cute and indeed sex. Fantastic portrait. Thank you.
All the best,
delpeoples (59774) 2013-04-29 21:30
hehehe, not poor Clodo, lucky Clodo. This little guy's a wee cutie - more cute than sexy IMHO, but horses for courses, as they say...hahahaha excuse the bad pun. Nice profile shot of this furry little guy. The colours, details and tight framing work well together and I really like that you propose an animal photo, we don't see many critters in your Gallery. Nice work, I'm sure Clodo will appreciate it :)
elenimavrandoni (0) 2013-04-29 23:11
hey Mr. Canada, yes it is sexy and knows it too!
beautiful posing, as you know I love them all ponnies, racers and studs!
marvelous color, a very attractive picture!
thank you for your polite comment and for your support it means a lot to me!!!
all the best to you + a huge smile

Hello Craig. What an original title. But the Iceland horses are really very lovable and friendly. You must really like this horse.
mcmtanyel (29044) 2013-06-02 20:45
What a cute little fella (or gal)! How does the poor critter see, he/she should seek another hair stylist.
This made me smile, TFS.
clic (18496) 2013-06-03 13:36
Did you learn horse talk or did it spontaneously move in front of your lens to show its new hairdo?!!
my_journey (190) 2013-06-23 7:03
Beautiful photo of this horse, you made her feel shy :D
Good framing and excellent lighting.
Nice to meet you
