[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note [French]
The farm of Nupsstadur is located in the south of Iceland and derives its name from Lomagnupur, which is one of the highest cliffs in the country.

From here travelers set off towards the east across the Skeidararsandur sands or Skeidararjokull glacier. For more than half a century farmer and post courier Hannes Jonsson (1880-1968) assisted travelers across the treacherous rivers on the sand until completion in 1974 of the circular road which makes now the tour of Iceland.

From here it was the longest journey in Iceland to a place where people could trade.

The oldest son of the factor always lives in the farm. He is centenary now and its quietude is disturbed only by the tourists who come to visit the farmhouses built in the 18th and 19th centuries as well as the adjacent small church dating from the 17th century.

France, you are putting them up faster than I can comment, and this one deserves a lot of comment. This is a great shot, color and detail are super but the composition is fantastic and the sky just caps it all off wonderfully. Great capture.

A very interesting site! I like that there are three of the fronts in the foreground. The warm grasses make an excellent foreground against the cool background.

Hi france, very diferente these houses covered with grass. The colors and light here are great. I think add more dark could result e nice contrast. See the WS.

Andre

Magnifique endroit, France!

A+

Bonjour France,

Quel qublime lieu !

Cordialement,
Damien.

A good composition France.I would like to know more about these buildings and their grass covered roofs.
It is unusual scenery.Good sharpness.
Tfs, regards Jean.

Bonjour France,

What a charming, picturesque scene...
A photography that can smooth out your day..

A land of rural innocence... Perhaps ?

(:-)))

All the best, France

Bonsoir France,

Admirable!

André
