Day 8 - Landmannahellir - Landmannalaugar

One more photo of Landmannalaugar token on our walk in Laugarhraun lava field. The mountain with incredible colours in the background is a 855 metres height volcano named Brennisteinsalda. The weather was overcast the day we visited Landmannalaugar so we had not a great light. I hope I will have better conditions when I will be back there in june !

J'adore ces paysages volcaniques islandais. Je trouve que le ciel gris leur va très bien, parfaitement en harmonie avec les couleurs du sol et des roches volcaniques.

Hi Olivier,

I think the light was perfect. If the sky was too sunny, it would be hard to manage the shadow parts. The mountain is rough but also mighty. It's stunning.

Ton cadrage est original avec un premier plan très présent. Je pense que ton choix est judicieux vu la belle lumière sur les herbes et les pierre.
La montagne du fond à des couleurs superbes.

Bonjour Olivier,

Beautiful photo of the rugged and beautiful landscape. This reminded me of part of Patagonia that I have seen. The cloudy sky adds moodiness to the landscape. There are so much details in this land formation and geological texture.
