Photographer’s Note
Maybe not one of my best pictures to say the least but an interesting POV on the gully leading away from the waterfall itself
Its a pity i have loads of pictures from there but the spray played havock with my focusing (no option for manual on me camera)
The lighting was starting to fail as well which didnt help
comments as ever appreciated

HI John,
I hadn't seen any of your work prior to your topic in the forum so did come across to have a look.
As you mention in your notes, you have chosen an unusual viewpoint. It's much more usual to see a waterfall from in front and/or below, and that's one thing that makes this one stand out from the crowd.
I think the strongest elements are the foreground water and the blueish area of water in the gorge. The foreground is obvious the area that grabs the immediate attention but that 'blueish' area works well to draw the eye to the centre. For me there is possibly a little too much of the background left in. Very slight cropping, down to just below the black knob of rock in the top left, still gives good framing to the top but places even more emphasis on the what I see as the main elements.
Irrespective of those comments it's still a well seen and well executed image.
