Photographer's Note

Still in the wonderful scenery of Kerlingarfjöll mountains and the Hveradalir valley, which means "hot springs valley". The valley has a good reputation for hiking, with marked paths and facilities to cross the rivers. You just have to take care because the soil is slippery at some places !

You can see some blue sky over the mountains. Well, we were very lucky with weather when we've been there. The weather was awful all day long, heavy rain, cold temperature, strong wind. But when we arrived in Kerlingarfjöll, there was a lull in the bad weather and we could enjoy our walk in the mountains and had fantastic light. It lasted only a few hours : we had snow showers when we were back in Kerlingarfjöll shelter and the next day was rainy and cold.
