A new day in Iceland, a rainy day like the previous one ! The day before we had some sun in the evening and could enjoy the fantastic sceneries of Kerlingarfjöll mountains with a fantastic light, but that day we had rain all the day and could not make a lot of nice pictures ! The first place we visited on that raindy day was Gullfoss waterfall. It is one of the most spectacular waterfall in Iceland. And also one the most famous. Probably because it is not very far from Reykjavik (1h30 road) and they are part of the Golden Circle, a popular tourist road via Geysir and Thingvellir. Gullfoss waterfall sits on the river Hvítá. It has 2 drops, a total height of 32 metres and a width of 70 metres. You can often see a rainbow over the waterfall, which makes a nice picture. But not the day we were there of course because of the rain ! So no rainbow photo for me, but an unusual POV, I think, of this impressive waterfall.

Bonne photo de ces chutes spectaculaires au débit d'eau impressionnant. J'espère que ton appareil était waterproof!

Another spectacular view of Iceland, which I appreciate very much, especially with the note you've provided. In September I will be visiting Reykjavik, and 90 minutes seems to be a reasonable time to put aside for a trip to see Kerlingartfjöld... unless you recommend other places during a one-day visit to the port.

L'Islande et la pluie font bon ménage, je peux maintenant en témoigner...
Ce point de vue est original et intéressant. On voit bien ces eaux laiteuses se jeter dans le vide en soulevant un nuage d'embruns. Et puis le point de vue est original.
