Strokkur geyser - Geysir - Iceland Photo

Decisive moment in Iceland. Didn't have to wait too long as the Strokkur geyser is blowing every 5 min or so.
No special effect were applied here. I just whitened the top right end cloud which happened to be just at the right place !

Amazing! ethereal beauty like having been taken on another planet. the sun like a huge star emphasises that image further. your scanning work is also truly excellent. i also used well Velvia 50 (RVP) before.

Hi Frederic,

At first I thought this was taken at night but on closer inspection not at all! It still has a very celestial feeling to it though. If you were to add some more stars to the sky you could easily convince me this was taken on a planet in some distant galaxy.

Everything about your shot is excellent, except the size. Post bigger photos!
