Photographer's Note
This is a very special and unique place in Thingvellir National Park. It is a site of a rift valley that marks the crest of the Mid-Atlantic Ridge. The faults and fissures of the area make evident the rifting of the earth's crust.

I like the sense of wilderness you have portrayed here. The stillness of the water contrasts sharply with the craggy terrain. Great framing!
I've always wanted to visit Iceland. And pictures like these only increase my desire.
