"Harpa is a concert hall and conference centre in Reykjavík, Iceland."
" The building was originally part of a redevelopment of the Austurhöfn area dubbed World Trade Center Reykjavík, which was partially abandoned when the financial crisis took hold."
The government decided in 2008 to fully fund the rest of the construction costs for the concert hall but not for the other part of the original development plan. "

Black and white is an excellent choice here, emphasising as it does the graphical lines of the fire escape and the architecture of the building. The image has a fine range of tonal values and very good sharpness.
You are probably right with regards to cropping the left hand side of my image; I agree that area does become a little distracting after a while.

it is a good subject for the mono treatment, the graphic shapes are nicely enhanced by the range of tones and level of contrast.
Very nicely handled.
Best regards Les.

A simple subject but you made a great picture with b&w and astonishing light. First i tought of cropping part of the right wall but then i realised that the photo indeed needs the light reflected on the whole of the wall. Someone who can make a picture like this of a simple stair has my admiration and points.

something different from what we usually see from Iceland, but I must say I´m really impressed!
Original, creative and what´s for me most important-perfectly processed in monochrome.
Your treatment in B&W combined with so good use of light make the scene very expressive!
