Photographer’s Note

Okay, those things are **NOISY**. This one was shot in Kjölur, almost in the dead-center of the country, on a geothermal spot, very active geologically. This cone-shape chimney is completely natural and super-heated water-vapour constantly comes out of it at high pressure. Don't put your face there, you'll melt! And all around this "valve" are a bunch of boiling mud-pots. Pretty amazing place.
