Reynisdrangar is a sandy beach with some volcanic basalt rocks. It is located near the village of Vik. The photo was taken during a stormy day with a cloudy sky and strong wind: the result is the absence of color that makes the picture almost black and white.

a tantalising thumbnail and striking image when full size. Amazing rocks and atmospheric capture. Almost alien in concept but an effective and beautiful execution. Spectacular!
