[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
The Glacier lagoon, also called Jökulsįrlón, is close to highway number one, about 350 km east from Reykjavķk. Huge blocks of ice in the lagoon comes from the Breišamerkurjökull glacier which is an outlet of the Vatnajökull glacier. The ice from the glacier is over 1,000 years old.

If you like you can take a boattrip among the icebergs in the lagoon.

The James Bond's movies Die Another Day and You Only Live Twice was both partly shot here.
