Photographer’s Note

Dimmuborgir and its strange lava structures : the origin of this particular zone is a lava lake which expended over a old pond and solidified too quickly.
During this day, there was a wind I never faced before but thanks to this wind, the sky was filled by many lenticular clouds.

Salut Jean Luc,

Superbe image ! Autant les nuages lenticulaires particulièrement rares à capter ainsi que ce paysage particulier. On se croirait sur un autre monde.
Ton effet sur le ciel est superbe et colle bien à l'ambiane qui se dégage du l'image.

Hallo Jean Luc!
Parce que je suis interessé en meteorologie, cette photo a pris mon attention immediatement. Les nuages (lenticularis) sont tres, tres impressionnants. La photo m'a fait un grand plaisir! (...et maintenant il me faut encore une fois excuser pour mon francais...)

Bonjour Jean-luc,
les couleurs sont un peu palotes, mais la composition avec ce nuage "lenticullaire" est vraiment très sympa.
En tout cas, instructif d'apprendre que c'est l'effet du vent qui donne cette forme aux nuages.
