Looking for wales Photo

Photographer’s Note

This is my favourite photo of my holidays in Iceland. It was raining, but the light was great.
I was in a wales photography safari on this boat of 15 meters of lenght. It was cold, and the captain give to us a cup of hot chocolat and a bun. This day we was lucky. We see four wales, but I don't take a good picture of them. I stay very sad.

This is a new version bigger than the last.

Yes, Esther, it was worth to work on it.
Still well composed, now also clear, sharp, the warm brown contrasts well the cold greys and blue

Would be good to know how you managed to get it so clear - there were some problems in the original. Thanks

Much, much better! Thank you very much for sharing the atmosphere of a sail in such landscapes. Very nice composition.
Don't be sad about the whales' picture. You saw them and will remember them and that what's really matters.

Hi Esther, and welcome to TE. I missed your original of this, but this is a great 'first' posting. Very atmospheric, and great use of deep DoF to get more or less the whole shot in focus, which I think was the right choice for this compo. Pts tomorrow.
