Photographer’s Note
I camped in Jökulsárgljúfur national park for five days all on my own. I slept through the day and wandered the landscape during the early hours because it was light all the time. I shot this at Selfoss, just upstream from Detifoss early one morning as fog began to lift from the area.

This photo is great...you used the shutter speed really well..may i know how you adjust the value of the shutter speed to create this "smooth look" of the waterfall? did you try few times to get this shot? i am new in photography..hope you will be able to teach me more about shutter speed...

Bruce,
Welcome to TE!
This is an outstanding shot of this majestic waterfall. The longer exposure worked well for you here creating a nice sense of power from the moving water. The fixed portions of the shot have outstanding sharpness and clarity. The lighting and colors are great as well.

Hello Bruce,
A good start on TE. The composition is nice driving from the first foreground and the effect of the long time exposure is doing a kind of echo with the fog ambiance of the area.
Definitively, Iceland is one of the great place for photos.
Yves.
