The village of Vík is the southernmost village in Iceland. In 1991, the US journal Islands Magazine counted this beach as one of the ten most beautiful beaches on Earth. Its stretch of black basalt sand is one of the wettest places in Iceland.

the red cloth makes the shot, shown by the white foam of the sea, separating the green mountain from the black sand beach.

I was there one year before you and it looks like the weather has not changed ! But you did very well with the weather conditions, making a simple shot but that shows very well the atmosphere of the place. The people on the black sand beach give scale to the composition.
