I want that farm! Do you know if it is for sale :)
I like this picture. The houses give a nice referense to the huge mountain and I like the black shadow on the mountain, it gives the picture a more dramatic look. The house really look abandoned and so lonely.
Looks nice with the water in the front.
I couldn´t resist a workshop :) Hope you like it.

Isolation certainly sums up the location. The scale is also apparent from the small size of a 3 storey building in the frame. The massive area of shadow on the left hand side is a major distraction. I have tried cropping either to a panorama format or a squarer shape to eliminate that area but in both cases the sense of size and isolation was lost. I think this is just one of those cases where we have to accept the problems and be prepared to see beyond them.

An amazing picture the house looks so small and exposed against the hughe mountain scree,must be so cold come winter.

wow the scale of this area set off by the tiny farm house is excellent. like the patterns on the hillside also. adds a lot of interest. just enough water to add to the isolation. the shadow area does bother me however, maybe because it is so dark and there is not much detail there. otherwise very nice image.

I can imagine the feeling living in this farm. The photo is a bit burned, but the view is impressive. I like very much.

A gigantic shadow for a gigantic shot. The shadow does look threathening. Bizarre to have a three storey building on a farm. Great shot.

Fredrik, this is one of the best images I have discovered on TE in some time. If I could give more than two points, I would. Nature photography is always at its best when it manages to show how small man is in comparaison. And this image does that in the extreme. And it gives an impression of the courage of the men (and women) who would inhanit such a place in the first place. Did you take it from a plane or from a mountain across a bay? reading your notes one would think you were over the Atlantic.
