Photographer's Note

Variation on a theme, this is an image taken a year before the photo I uploaded last time.
I was hoping for a dramatic sunrise and survived a night from hell with torrential rain and howling wind which almost made my tiny tent fly away. Alas, the only shots I took were blue twilight ones like this. Soon after it started raining again.

I have added a WS with a photo of my poor tent.

Hi Kasia
It sounds as you had quit an adventure up there in Iceland, I can imagine that to be pretty scary with that tent in a howling storm.
As for the picture, this blue hour shot suits your subject perfectly, it is an impressive arctic shot. There is an eery calm mood with icebergs in the completely still water.

Czesc Kasiu,
niesamowite zdjecie i scena-jakby z innego wymiaru,bardzo nastrojowa majaca swoj niepowtarzalny klimat.Temat zdjecia,jak rowniez jego kolorystyka w roznych,ale jakze pieknych odcieniach niebieskiego poteguje tylko surrealistyczne wrazenie.Jezeli kiedykolwiek minimalizm byl zaleta to wlasnie tutaj-piekny widok bez zadnych innych elementow odwracajacych nasza uwage od tej wyjatkowej sceny.

sorry to read about your traumatic night, but this shot is an ample reward. It is fascinating and so artistic. The blue hues and tones are exquisite and the effect beautiful. Stunning and original imagery!

Rozumiem, że ten mrok przed świtem dał taką niesamowitą kolorystykę zdjęcia, przy tej małej ilości światła aż czuje się chłód od lodu, opłaciło się poświęcenie :))

wspanialy mialas pomysl na taka kompozycje ktora jest rewelacyjna. Ta kolorystyka zdjecia przyciaga uwage. Ten ciemno niebieski kolor jest przpiekny, zreszta moj ulubiony. Wspaniala praca. Gratulacje.

Hello Kasia,
I am not sure that I would go through the same kind of hardship to get a good picture, but these fine shapes in the strange blue light was some reward for a horrible night. You hade a moment of magic before the rain started again.

Kasia, this is a gorgeous minimalist shot of the icebergs here, reflected in a pool of water that makes them appear to glow. The blue is amazing, with a gradient effect from top to bottom and an amazing clarity considering the light. It sounds like you had a pretty tough time there, but at least you emerged with some incredible images - no sign of the violence and chaos in the weather in this one. Thanks!
