Rakoczi Ut II Photo

Photographer’s Note

Over the last 15 years I've taken a continuing series of the buildings along Rakoczi, the main road east through Pest, continuing towards Keleti station from the chain bridge. These days they are generally in sparkling restoration, but I liked them just as much in their early '90s neglect.

Great, simply great!
You managed the light here more than skillfully and this photo really is worth seeing. A very inventive and beautiful architecture photo!
Well, and the German Volksbank we have to shrug off ... ;-)

HI Richard,
I,ve been in Budapest three years ago, and I think I remember this street.
Your picture is very interesting because it shows a Budapest before the tourists boom. The exposure is very accurate too and also the correction of the perspective error, typical in architecture pictures.
