The place
Altar of the St Stephen's Basilica (Hungarian: Szent István-bazilika) is an ecclesiastic basilica in Budapest, Hungary. It is named in honour of Stephen, the first King of Hungary (c 975–1038), whose mummified fist is housed in the reliquary.

Along with the Hungarian Parliament Building, it is the tallest building of Budapest (96 m). It has a width of 55 meters, and its length is 87.4 meters. It was completed in 1905 after 54 years of construction. Much of this delay can be attributed to the collapse of the dome in 1868 which required complete demolition of the completed works and rebuilding from the ground up.

The architectural style is neoclassical and the interior is laid out in Greek cross. The facade is anchored by two large bell towers. In the southern tower you can find Hungarys biggest bell. Its weight surpasses 9 tons[1]. Its predecessor had a weight of almost 8 tons, but it was used for military purposes during the second World War. Visitors may access the dome by elevators or 364 stairs for a 360° view overlooking Budapest. I hope that my friends from the TE meeting will post wondereful pictures from this place.

The picture
I know that the head burnt out a bit but to be honest I couldn't do more without loosing from the real lights, colors and atmosphere). I focused on the nice details. But of course if anybody (NOw I know some experienced member...)can post a good workshop - I would be very happy.

Finally I think it is like a heaven's light.

Have a nice week!

u.i. remélem a többiek valóban fognak erről a csodás helyről fotókat póstázni.
Szia.

Szia Miklós,
Hát igen a fej egy kicsit beégett, de ilyen távolságból ilyen fényekkel szerintem ez több mint elfogadható. A részeletekre koncentrálás jól siekrült, mert szép élesek letteka részletek. A többi fény jól adja vissza a hely hangulatát. Nagyon tetszenek a színek is. Kiváló munkát végeztél!
Gratulálok!
Üdv,
Marci

Hi MIklos

Hi Miklos,
a wonderful cathedral, your photo is so rich of details. The centered position of the alter makes the pic quiet and underlines the ood in this sacred place.
Good one !
Compliments, Chris

Szióka:)
beégett vagy sem ,nem igazán zavaró.
JÓ kép!!
Én alig fotóztam a Bazilikában...és abból a kevésből is a legtöbb kép a Szent Teréz szoborról készült:)
Szép hétvégét!!
puszi,
Linda

Szia Miklós!
Gyönyörű fotó, a részletek nagyon szépek, a minőség szuper. A szimmetrikus kompozíció látványos, a túláradó fényű szoboralak szerintem nem zavaró, ennyi bőven belefér egy szakrális témájú fotóba. :)
Gratulálok és szép fényeket!
Gyuri

Hi Miklos,

Interesting image.
Good POV, and composition.
Excellent tones.
All the best.

Siegfried

Szia Miklos,
A nice interior picture of the basilica, the face of the Christ looks a little bit overexposed but the rendering of all elements around is very nice, you have a strong arm and a good VR to get this sharpness hand held !
Have a nice day JY
