Photographer’s Note

While walking across the old parts of Budapest during the TE-meeting last weekend we came across some scenic places like this one, where the age and the history of the city become very noticeable.

Much to discover there, and a pitty that we did not have more time - definitely a place to come back to!

The almost monotone transformation strongly emphasize a mysterious atmosphere here. Nice composition, your low pov adds a sense of depth to the picture. Great shot.

Very mystic photo! I can't guess where you took this photo, but i'm sure you controlled very well the lights here!
I like the vertical format and clear and sharp details of the bricks as well!

Hi Johannes,
Is it taken when walking up to the basilica with the stairs ?
I like here the alternance of lights and shadows and we get enough to see from the old walls to get that essential medieval feeling.

Great clarity you've caught here and the light leads the eye to the entrance, nice effect.

Hallo Johannes,

eine einfache, aber effektvolle Komposition. Hätte die senkrechte Linie etwas weiter rechts, am goldenen Schnitt gesetzt. Schöner Durchblick mit Tiefe.
