Photographer’s Note
I'm back from a small Blitz Eurotrip, the goal of which was to attend the Budapest TE Meeting and honour a long due promise to Isabela. This image has been taken from the citadel hill shortly after we had made the junction with the Team Romania, due to the long trip we missed the blue hour on that first evening but still could enjoy his very nice view featuring Buda on the left and Pest on the right.
As usual I had a great time meeting friends I had long been in contact with, but it's always way better to meet in person and push the friendship further. For you who have made this one possible, "Köszönöm Linda !" and "Multumesc Isa !".
Incidentally this image marks the Grand Opening of my Hungarian gallery ;-)

Bonjour Jean Yves,
A very impressive Gramd Opening!! :))) Did you climb up to the Citadella after I left?
That's a wonderful panorama with perfect quality. This point gives a view on Budapest's most famous sights and you put everything in one picture very well. The light adjustment, the sharpness and the night colours are superb!!
TFS and I'm looking forward to your following Budapest photos!
It was also a great surprise and pleasure to meet you and spend a whole day together!!

Hi Jean-Yves,
Very nice also without natural lights. This makes scene more simplified showing just illuminated elements. Excellent wide panorama, I don't think I've seen such from this place before. Gold goes well with black. Gold goes well with any colour I guess.
(I just made a theme of Swiss cantons. Any change of getting your version of the same theme?)

Hey JY
This photo is absolutely fantastic!! Great night shot + this is the best view point in Budapest.
I'm a pure amateur, I have learned a few simple tricks about photography here in TE, but looking at this photo I would say you're a magician :) My night shots never look even close to good
Well see you around TE :)

OK, you missed the blue hour but surely you did not miss the “black hour” which, as shown here, is simply magnificent. The view is superb and the light on the monuments is splendid. I really like the different light colour on the bridge and on the church at the turn of the river. And those little details on red and blue here and there in the frame are beautiful spots of added colour. It goes direct into my favourite list. Thanks.

JY,
This is an amazing night shot with outstanding sharpness and clarity. The golden light here makes the buildings and bridge stand out against the dark background. This is a great way to kick off a nice gallery but how will the rest of the photos come close to this one! I'm looking forward to see them!

Bonjour Jean Yves,

OK, the 1st of July has gone here and finally I can open also the large version. I tried to do it since yesterday using different type of browsers, but there was no way. Who knows why? Fantastic large night shot Jean Yves with perfect stitching and overall sharpness.
Probably it sounds strange, but for the night shots, I prefer the deep black rather than the blue hour.
It was a really pleasure and surprise to meet one of the still active legends of TE and hope to see ya again one of the next times!
Best wishes.

Bonjour JY
Budapest is one of my favourite cities I have had the pleasure to see in Europe, personally because of the steeped history of the architecture the city has to offer. Great perspective from Citadel hill showing both the Danube and Buda/Pest. Rich blacks and golden yellows compliment the scene well and the lighting all over the capture look clean and crisp. Well done

JY,
so your jetting through entire Europe to get your map yellow and please everyone at TE meetings? It is a great feeling to get to know all these people that we communicate almost daily, isn't? The moment of this shot is certainly quite to late for the master of the blue hour. Still, the golden hues that you achieved makes this a great shot with flawless stiching.
