Photographer’s Note

l had a very nice trip yesterday evening and l made some photos near the Danube. l hope you will like it!

The Danube (In German: Donau from earlier Danuvius, Celtic *dānu, meaning "to flow, run", and Slovak Dunaj, Hungarian Duna, Romanian Dunăre, Old Norse Duná, Turkish Tuna, ancient Greek Istros, Serbo-Croatian Dunav/Дунав, Bulgarian and Macedonian Дунав) is the longest river in the European Union and Europe's second longest river after the Volga. It originates in the Black Forest in Germany as the much smaller Brigach and Breg rivers which join at the eponymously named German town Donaueschingen, after which it is known as the Danube and flows eastwards for a distance of some 2850 km (1771 miles), passing through several Central and Eastern European capitals, before emptying into the Black Sea via the Danube Delta in Romania and Ukraine.

Known to history as one of the long-standing frontiers of the Roman Empire, the river flows through — or forms a part of the borders of — ten countries: Germany (7.5%), Austria (10.3%), Slovakia (5.8%), Hungary (11.7%), Croatia (4.5%), Serbia (10.3%), Romania (28.9%), Bulgaria (5.2%), Moldova (1.7%), and Ukraine (3.8%)

This boat makes me want to get in a go for a ride. The grass gets in the way, just a bit and it might be nice to enhance the color, just a bit. On the other hand, it is still a pleasant, inviting image of the Danube.

this is a quiet but elegant and well-balanced photo. The play of sunlight bringing forward a vivid variety of green hues is beautifully portrayed and the composition is well balanced with the warm tones of the boat and of course the reflections.

very nice presentation of this quite corner of Dunabis (in modern Greek) river with the lonely boat to steal the show.I like the reflection on the calmly water,as the greenery that surround this beautiful scene.Informative your note too.

Hello Agnes,
The beautiful place. The lake, rushes with reeds, willows and the boat. Completely how in my Strykowo. I love such places, their silence, the freedom and the contact with the nature. Nice picture, well put-upon lights and very good sharpness. Reflections of the light in water superbly bring to life the picture. It succeeded to obtain You the beautiful depth of the sharpness. Nice photo, the excellent climate.
