An older photo of me today, because I haven't uploaded so many images from the city where I live... Miskolc has ca. 200.000 inhabitants, the city was practically built around a hill named "Avas". It's 292 meters high above sea level (and ca. 150 above the city), and having beautiful look to the city, mostly to North. There's a TV/look-out tower on it, too, but this shot was taken from the ground.
Only a little part of the hill remained as it was, the majority of the hill area was built up with block houses in the communistic era. Previously there was an important grape / wine culture here, but most of the grapes had died out due to a phyloxera epidemic in the very end of 19th century. A few remained, though, but the culture has never really been re-planted.
