Dear TE Friends,

I showed photos from many beautiful city but now I will return to my loved city, Budapest. By this time I collected a smaller collection for architectures, moods and nice view points. I hope you like it.

Budapest

Budapest, capital of Hungary, is also the country's administrative, economic, cultural, and scientific centre. An european city in every sense of the word, in its geographical, intellectual, and economic significance. Just look at these facts that show what a great destination Budapest is, truly a place to spend a couple of days or even weeks here on the banks of the Danube.

- Around 1,000 listed sites from the most significant European artistic periods, including some outstanding Classicist and Hungarian Secession buildings. Indeed, the latter can only be seen here in Hungary.

- World Heritage Sites: The Danube view with the Buda Castle (Budai vár), and the splendid groups of buildings in Pest, as well as Andrássy Avenue (Andrássy út) with its luxurious palaces and the Heroes' Square (Hősök tere) with its ceremonious atmosphere.

- Several hundred museums and galleries, which in addition to artefacts of Hungarian history, art, and natural science, also exhibit numerous works of universal European and world culture.

- 40 theatres, 7 concert halls, and 2 opera houses for those who love the performing arts. The choice multiplies in the summer thanks to the numerous open-air concerts and performances.

- More than a thousand restaurants, cafés, and venues, where the delicacies of Hungarian and international cuisine are accompanied by the finest Hungarian wines.

- 80 mineral and thermal springs, 10 splendid thermal baths, themselves part of the built heritage, and more than 400 bitter water springs.

Szia George, my today's neighbour !
The two couples are indeed a great way to frame the river and its famous curve, I like this, possibly your image has a small red cast.
Have a nice day, JY

Szia George,
a very nice view indeed. And your note adds a short abstract of the things which are remarkable there. Short not because of the length but because of the amount of beautiful places to visit. This wide view from the "Gellert" gets its romantic mood by the two couples in that last warm summer light.
And a nice day to you too…
Lieben Gruss, Ulf

Bonjour George,
un POV qui donne à cette ville de superbes allures de mégalopole. Une ville qui n'est pas défigurée par des gratte-ciels.
Une photo prise le dernier jour de l'été, de très belles lumières et un soleil bien présent.
Have a great week-end.
Daniel.

Hello George,
Nice panorama of Budapest, I like the POV and the framing with the persons in the foreground, well seen and done.

Hi George, What a wonderful view, the scene is set for romance indeed, great colour, superb light & just a wonderfully composed photo, kind regards Wilson.

Olá George

Hi George,

Yes, I like it! It has a really beautiful point of view, the two couples give a particular ambiance to the shot, and we feel concerned by their attitudes! It's a very lovely shot, in many senses. The Donau is great dividing the nice city, the light is superb... Great!

Greetings,
Angel.

Hallo George!
You obviously are THE ambassador of Budapest - or perhaps the minister of touristic affairs ... ? ;-)
This photo makes the viewer speechless, but nevertheless one word: Great!!!
Greetings from cold and humid Germany!

Hi George,
I like this shot, although it's a bit over-saturated for my taste. Compositionally it works well, although tighter framing on the two couples, placing them closer to the edges of the frame would have improved it.
They frame the river well though, and draw the eye into the scene very well.
Good work.

Cheers,
Ben

Hi George,
I like this with the two couples included. Its great that we can see what they are looking at the spectacular view. Great sharp details and saturated colours. Budapest certainly has a lot to offer.

Wanda
