Hi! Something from my hiker trip last Sunday, a ski hut in the Central Bükk (Bükk Plateau) on Big Field.

Big Field's the result of a 18th century deforestation, and because of the extreme microclimatic conditions of the area (so-called "frost nooks" in the lower points of dolinas, which means temperature's below zero Celsius, even on summer nights), plus this territory became the home of the famous Lipizza Stud (horse farm), a spontaneous re-forestation was impossible. In the meantime the area became shelter of alpine and sub-alpine flora (lots of rare species), so the artificial re-forestation of the field is also out of question. The closest inhabited place is Bánkút, one of the very few Hungarian ski centers.

The house You can see here is a Puritan hut (I mean there's nothing in it except beds), which can be lent from the directorate of Bükk National Park.
