With no hairpiece, behind bars, the manequin stared outside as night spread its coloured, lit wings over Budapest. No one cared, anyhow. Its head could be bold, the dress old, the price tag though tempting (c 140 EUR), it was not a store for brides of the wind, of the sun, of the moon--it provided everything a bride-to-be would hasten to avoid...

Title taken from an instrumental piece of Tom Waits's 1985 album, Rain Dogs.

Duotone version is in the WS.

i love shots with ghosts and this is a real good one with the bold bride behind bars... the pink and orange lights add a lot to the charm of this tarantinoish scene.. congrats sasa...

all the best

It's dreamtime in Sarolta's Budapest - the bald headed bride watching the fleeting passage of men - who never stop or look beyond a momentary surprise - waiting waiting for the one who never comes.........an image that excites and haunts me ......an image that brings out the storyteller and the singer and the dancer in me.........

Apparently you have a distinct style, as when I saw this photo it reminded me of your other photos. The colors, movement of the people, and setting all give this photo a dreamlike quality. Good composition, you caught the people at the perfect time. TFS

Sasa, a color one!!! Wow... and what nice colors! Absolutely marvelous. I am myself fascinated by those humanized mannequins... So amazing to look at... but here, in your photo she looks somehow abandoned, surrounded just by plastic flowers and paper adds, and completely ignored by those passing by blurred figures, almost shadows... and still dressing her wedding dress, waiting... Very special! Love it.
Have a nice weekend!

U have used the blurred motion so wonderfully. I like the lighting condition and its tonality.Perfectly visualised and taken wonderfully.

Hi Sasa, every time I listened to this album I tried to imaging the bride of a rain dog... Now I know how she looks like! :)

Amazing capture... but I think I like BW version more... it's somehow more pure in its message...

Cheers
Alexander

hello sasa, a very good timing for this shot... you are really a artist with a lot creativity, i like these ghosts who dont stop in front of headed bride.... she is waiting always.... sad life... colors are amazing. bravo

A rare venture into color, Sasa, and very well done too. the walking shadows on the left were perfectly timed and executed - one seems to be wearing a military or policeman's cap... Nice touch of yellow against the magenta wall uper left as well. Plenty going on, plenty to took at in tis complex scene.
We're going thrugh a typhoon as I write...;o)
best wishes,
Francis

Excellent! This seems to be something new for you! the use of color..and these blurred people passing by... I love the idea of taking this bride's dress behind bars.. the way you composed the shot in almost two separate identical parts is great! I t also has a thriller's mood. Du grand Sasa as usual! You keep up coming with experimental novelties! I love that... Congrats and puzsi!

Hi Sarlota, very well done, I like yours black and white (sephia) photos. I look forward to seeing each new one. But this color is wonderful. You are sensitive expert points in time. Thanks for sharing. Iveta.

Hi Sasa,
I like the composition, colour grittyness and
the whole surreal colour palette.
Great motion blur and I wonder how you managed
to steady your camera in hand at 1/6 secs...?
There's something eerie in her steady posture
while she stands still like this and staring at
the world goes by...
Lovely!
Robi

Great motion blur on the passers-by, who conveninetly wore dark clothing that contrasts with the white of the bride's dress. A dream-like image from a fantasy movie (with that bold bride in a cage).

Hi Sasa, this is a very niece piece, the ghostly persons are perfect and it is cool to have two of them, the colors are just superb by the way...

Hi Sasa,
yes, the light on the color version is really nice but I have to say that I prefer the duotone version.
It's more mysterious and the bride looks surreal... like a ghost.
Anyway, it's a pleasure for the eyes.

love the ghostly silhouettes... reminds me an old movie once again. The color version is great so as the light.

Beautiful. Just beautiful. The strength of that tall bride is really amazing. The way she glows in white over all these somber tones really strikes me. She is staring at me, fixed, motionless, and I can't take my eyes of her. I like the blurred passerby plasticity very much, but the bride... Very very good.

hello Sasa,

great combination with the bride standing still and the two men running... to get here or to get away ... ;DD
very beautiful and special colours. so so nice !!!
greetings, inn

ciao Sasa, and this time i agree absolutely with your choice of the colour version here...
the colours are a beauty here..
Great composition with the blured men in perfect position...
really a clever shot and a useful note..
ciao!
Valeria

Bonjour !

Toujours ce fabuleux travail de recherche sur les ombres !
Magnifique image, j'aime beaucoup !
Marie

Quite a sophisticated image, plenty of character and a great mood provided from the night lighting. Not sure why I find that subject of the bride shop so photoworthy, but I do.

Hi Sarolta,

Really nice effect you obtained with the movement of walking people. Nice Note as well!

Regards

Rolando

Another fairy tale... the real is the mannequin looking out from the shop or are the shadows passing by? Or it's the standard yours B&W version on WS? Colours are great here... Anyway you let a lot to argue us about and, at the end, I think it's another magic touch of your magic wand for a new fairy tale in the world of images...
A smile
Luca

The colours seem sureal, Sasa. The image tells many stories......is he really too busy to glance at her.......

Hi Sarolta,

This mysterious picture with the two silhouettes from beyond definitively needs a reference to a song – movie or other art expression and in my opinion it also needs colour so I’m glad with your choice.

Hi Sasa.

The colourful version is powerful and also I love this frontal view with the blurred people.

Well done.
