Photographer’s Note

Budapest is very well known for its thermal baths. This is Szechenyi Thermal Bath (fürdo), one of the biggest spas in Europe. It was also the first thermal bath of Pest.

Szechenyi Bath was built between 1909-1926 in a neo-baroque style and is one of the two most famous baths in Budapest (the other one is Gellert Bath).

The water supply for the bath is provided by a hot-spring water with calcium, magnesium, hydro-carbonate, also containing sodium and sulphate, with a significant content in fluoride and metaboric acid.
The therapeutical effect of the water regards degenerative illnesses of joints, chronic and semi-acute arthritis, orthopaedic and post-injury alterior treatments.

You can benefit of this curative waters in the open-air pools even during winter time.

Enjoy !
