At last I got some more slides scanned. If anyone knows what "State" or megye this is in, please let me know.
This is one of Hungary's many ruined medieval castles that so picturesquely sit on hilltops in the countryside. It was a sunny/cloudy day and I saw the light strike the castle for a moment. By the time I set up my camera the sun was gone. I had to wait a half an hour for it to be on the castle again, but it was worth it. I think I cropped the sky too low when scanning.
I reposted this after running it through Auto Levels according to Didi's suggestion. Thanks Didi. It doesn't look anything like the slide, but I like it.

It's actually in Veszprém megye (county). Gosh, it brings back memories, we used to drive by it most summer weekends from Győr, on the way to my grandfather's cottage by Lake Balaton. Funny how I've never been this close, you must have climbed up from the main road quite a bit.
