Photographer’s Note
St Stephen's Basilica (Szent István-bazilika in Hungarian) is an ecclesiastic basilica in Budapest, Hungary. It is named in honour of Stephen, the first King of Hungary (c. 975–1038), whose mummified fist is housed in the reliquary.
Along with the Hungarian Parliament Building, this is the tallest building of Budapest (96 m). It was completed in 1905 after a construction period spanning nearly 50 years. Much of this delay can be attributed to the collapse of the dome during construction in 1868 which required complete demolition of the completed works and rebuilding from the ground up.

Hi George,
The best on this shot is light and simetry. I guess it could be better if you cropped some ot the white sky.

Hello George!
One thing Montrealman has to say to Budapestman: This photo is totally awesome!
The saturated colours are really striking and the golden basilica in front of this powerful and dramatic sky is fabulous! Very atmospheric shot! I like it a lot.

Good capture of the great architecture. Lovely colours and details. A bit of a crop at the top would have helped but still great photo.

Bonsoir George,
Best regards.
Daniel.

Szia Gyuri,
Ez igen! Nagyon szép kép csodálatos színekkel. Itt a fény is kíváló volt és a borúlt égbolt is kedvező hátteret kínált. Gratulálok és további jó fényeket kívánok!

Hi George - I like the symmetry and the contrast the golden (sandstone?) makes with the dark skies, great timing.
