Inner City Parish Church - The oldest church in Pest.

The original 12th century roman-style church was largely destroyed by Mongol invaders in 1241. It was reconstructed in 14th century in gothic-style. During the Turkish occupation in the seventeenth century the church was converted for use as a mosque. Following a fire it was rebuilt in Baroque style in 1723, but the interior has also neo-Classical features. Situated at the Pest end of the Elizabeth Bridge, the Inner City Parish Church was saved from demolition by popular protest at the time of the original bridge's construction (one of the earliest environmental campaigns in Hungary).

About this picture: I didn`t have a tripod during my trip to Budapest so I took this photo from a wall on the second side of the street. I think that I had a lot of luck to reach this effect :)

Fantastic movement. But what i don't like - the flare.

Very best atmsphere foto... i like the lense flare giving power and live to the foto..is one Good jumb!!!!

great picture. fantastic way to start on TE. An unusual POV of one of Budapests hidden gems but it works really well

Great night shot. The "2 seconds exposure" was a good choice to have this lights dancing around the church. Good sharpness too.

In this foto I see running time around church.

no,no, jak na 2 sek. bez tripodu... swietna kompozycja, ostrosc i delikatne kolory; dalszy komentarz zbyteczny - wszystko zostalo juz tu powiedziane (moze tylko jedna uwaga na minus - cos mi sie to wszystko za bardzo pochyla w lewo - moze murek nie byl calkiem poziomy?) pozdr. tomek
