Photographer’s Note
These are the statues of the first king of Hungary
Saint Istvan (1000-1038)and
his wife, Blessed Gizella.
He created a really European state in the Carpathian bassin, the Hungarian Kingdom and promoted the Roman catholic church.
The royal couple is standing in the historical centre of the "City of Queens", Veszprem (central Transdanubia, northern Balaton region).
