Photographer’s Note
Szentendre (Saint Andrew) is a charming old town just north of Budapest, easily reached by commuter train. This picture shows one of the many churches of the town, surrounded by old houses.
Technical: Scanned by ScanCafe from slide. Some Curves, burning and healing brush work. I selected the sky and did a slight Gaussian blur on it.
Side note: I'm posting this partly out of frustration. I got a Hammacher-Schlemmer film and slide digital converter for Xmas (even though I'm Jewish ;-) ) and was trying to digitize some negatives. The results were, to put it mildly, lousy. I cannot get rid of some dust inside the scanner (it doesn't come apart for cleaning), there is color shift, HUGE noise, and light leakage. No way am I going to subject those images to the ridicule of the forum, so don't even ask.

I hope you will be able to get your money back, or at least a repair on your present. This is a well compose image of the roof tops and the church spire, so different in style to the ones we see every day. The sky seems a bit too cyan, probably something to do with the age of the original? I just did a very quick WS

Hello Daniel,
Looks like the church is really a bit crowded from the surrounding buildings indeed! but the height of it really looks nice that received from the good sunlight! I quite like the colour contrast against the blue sky!
many thanks for the sharing
wishing you A JOYFUL AND HAPPY NEW YEAR in US
greeting from NZ
