Photographer’s Note
Photo of Mária Valéria bridge on Hungarian-Slovakian border. It connects two sides of Danube river between cities of Esztergom (HU) ans Sturovo (SK).
Originally it was inaugurated in 1895, but the retreating German troops destroyed it in 1944. It was rebuilt in 2001 with the support of the European Union.
This photo is actually taken from the Slovakian side but the camera is pointed towards Hungary so I have tagged it as Esztergom.
