Photographer's Note

Gellért Hill (Gellért-hegy) offers some of the best panoramic views of Budapest. Starting your sightseeing here is not just a wonderful experience and a good first impression of the city, but it also makes orientation much easier. It's like laying out a map of Budapest in front of you. You can see the structure of the city and the difference between the hilly Buda side and the flat Pest side, with the Danube dividing the two. Besides the wonderful view.

Nice birdseye view from Budapest.
Warm light and overall dominant golden color gives the capture the taste of an "oldie" !

for the very instructive note that enhances the quality of the picture. Indeed, you recognize the city for its rich architecture from around the time before the first world war.

Just for fun and because we are on TE where experiments are encouraged I tried to remove some of the yellow hue in the workshop area. What do you think about it?

your series on Budapest is a good reference for all who want to visit this town.
It's a good bird-view over Budapest, indeed.
The city stands out elegant in front of our eyes, with all its architectural beauty and its urban wealth.
I like the strong graphical effect of the roofs of the houses and of the towers of the churches, under a good light in spite of the a bit foggy day.
A beautiful composition.

I really like the picture because I do love climbing buildings and towers to have such wonderful bird's eye views. In yours, I loved the shapes created by the buildings. The soft light creates a wonderful atmosphere.

I love the depth, the vertical format and beautifully composed. The fine weather makes the image looks warm enhanced by soft coloring along with some bright specks of colors. The stretching low lying cityscape wonderfully extends the view into diminishing horizon. A cheery shot superbly taken. Great capture.

excellent view point as you say.
and i have to agree with you that it IS like laying out a map of the city to get your barrings straight.
as for the photo itself, i may have cropped out the skyline, leaving the city as the main focus, but its just a matter of personal choice.
the city as the main subject still is so attractive with all the warm glow of sunlight striking the buildings. and of course i love the layout.
