Photographer’s Note

Salt Lake (Sóstó), Nyíregyháza

Stretching over 9.5 hectares the lake is in two sections connected by a periodically functioning narrow channel. Towards the town there is a fresh water lido or 'lake baths', the section to the north is a rowing lake.

The average depth of the lake is 1.5 metres, with the deepest point being only 2.4 metres. The water stands out for its high sodium concentration and sodium carbonate content.

The bathing culture around the lake blossomed as early as the mid-19th century. It remains a popular bathing and recreation destination to this day. Can be visited free of charge.

sharp and clear image with very nice colors. Well framed. I like a lot the light here, it's a dark light, a very cold ambiance and a beautiful mix of colours, which accentuate the cold.
Good point of view and a nice composition, the whole photo has a nice gloomy winters day feel about it.

voilà un retour à uyn peu plus de nature et cela n'est pas pour me déplaire, bien au contraire.
Une vue très calme, mélange d'automne et d'hiver et l'absence de soleil dans une telle vue n'est pas traumatisant.

It was a grey day! Not much light! But then you were walking and saw the bridge, the bare big tree and thought: "Why not?!". Well, the reason is because it's such a lovely view and all those elements have created an image to please everyone's eyes! Excellent quality! Excellent piece of art!
