Photographer’s Note

For those who do not remember Thorton Wilder's excellent play (Our Town): when looking back in time things appear more comprehesible, the town once thought to be the whole world has shrunken but we shall find her again all over the world, in every town we discover.

The town hall of Szolnok is far not so big and old as I thought to be in my childhood, built in now existing shape in 1884, but I find it nice even today - finally it belongs to Our Town.

When clicking on the map function you can get a good satellite photo with the centre of Szolnok.

Is it the same city I photographed? No, in this picture I can see a lovely provincial still life, a park with a nicely restored historic building in the background (Visit my photos uploaded to TE about another face of Szolnok!). The afternoon light make this place really desirable. Thanks for sharing!

Ciao Laszlo,
attraverso gli alberi si intravede questo palazzo con una bella architettura, qualcosa di simile lo abbiamo anche in Italia i palazzi dell'inizio novecento, chiamati architettura Umbertina.
bella la foto, con l'inserimento delle persone che danno vita a questo viale .

Hallo László!
Na endlich - Szolnok! ;-) Nicht riesig, aber ein doch repräsentatives Rathaus - mit hoffentlich integren Politikern ;-))) Das (schwierige) Gegenlicht erzeugt hier eine schöne Stimmung und einen interessanten Kontast zwischen Sonnenlicht und Schatten. Auf jeden Fall ist Deine Aufnahme schöner als die in Wikipedia!
Ein schönes Wochenende aus dem sonnigen Siegerland!

nice the shot of the town hall of Szolnok,and the three trunks of the trees create a splendid frame in the scene.I like the brilliant light as the sharpness and clarity of the photo.The parring by people add life in the scene.Well done.

Szia Laci!
Mindig egy kicsit elfogultak vagyunk, ha saját városkánkról van szó, nem? ;)
Nagyon tetszik ez a képed a városházáról, különösen az előtérbe helyezett árnyas lombok, de a virágágyakra vetülő fény és a kép szélén sétáló emberek is fokozzák a kép békés hangulatát.

jó hogy Szolnok-ból ismét láthatunk egy újabb részletet. Különösképpen örömmel látom, hogy ott is minden olyan rendezettnek tűnik, legalábbis a centrumban. Nagyon jól választottad ki szerintem a nézőpontot, hiszen a fák szépen megvilágított zöld levelein keresztül az épület is sokkal érdekesebbnek tűnik a kíváló kontrasztnak köszönhetően, valamint a kiégett ég sem zavaró különösebben.

Szia Laci!
Remek nézőpont, kitűnő képet kreáltál az önmagában túl egyszerű témából. A 3 fa kiválóan foglalja keretbe a főtémát, az ég túlexpója sem zavaró. A lokálpatriotizmus csodákat tesz. :) Ez a fotó pedig csodálatos. Valaki egyszer azt írta az egyik feltöltésemhez: "photography is creating something from nothing. And You did it now." Szavait most tisztelettel továbbadom. :)
