Photographer’s Note

Frost is a solid deposition of water vapor from saturated air. It is formed when solid surfaces are cooled to below the dew point of the adjacent air. Frost crystals' size differ depending on time and water vapor available. Frost is also usually translucent in appearance. There are many types of frost, such as radiation and window frost. Radiation frost (also called hoar frost or hoarfrost) refers to the white ice crystals, loosely deposited on the ground or exposed objects, that form on cold clear nights when radiation losses into the open skies cause objects to become colder than the surrounding air. /From wikipedia/

I tested my Vivitar 100 mm macro lens originally bought for my film camera - this picture was taken in normal mode, of course. Considering the result I can warmly recommend this very cheap and lightweight lens for all those who are seeking an affordable medium tele/macro lens - though I am not sure it is available yet.
