Wonderfully topical. I love to see images of relevence taken recently. Compositional contrast is great. A moment of light relief in a difficult time.
Really a shot that tells it's own story.

Artistic! The composition is great. I like the lighthearted moment in somber black and white--perfect for,as twjthornton says, "a moment of light relief in a difficult time." Practically, I imagine the colors in that scene were mostly mud-colored anyway at that time...so kudos for making the best of it with black and white! Maybe you could put it under "Decisive Moment" because he's balancing?
