Photographer's Note
Another new country today, view of Eger from the Castle, the yellow building is the cathedral, the 2nd larget in Hungary. Eger is famous for its Egri Bikaver bulls blood wine. The town is quite touristy, but so far there are only 11 other photos from Eger on this site. I darkened and decreased saturation in the sky. I wish I was able to catch a lightning (on camera not on my head) it was quite a heavy spring thunderstorm.

Well Tan thanks for sharing this wonderful place on TE. I love the design and details in town square. A very rare capture indeed. The dark clouds above really adds drama to this scene. Very well done. I had to run it through photoshop CS2 and added smart sharpening to the buildings in the workshop. Have a good weekend!

Hi Tan,
Amazing photo with so many different and beautiful colors. The buildings are so pretty and you have captured them all so crisp and sharp. The colors stand out so beautifully against that dark sky. Well done, great work!

Hi Tan,
An excellent addition to TE's Eger collection. You seems to find a perfect PoV to show this beautiful town in its entirety. Well saturated colours are nice too. Well done!

Hi Tan
I like the threatening, ominous clouds, in the background. A superb pov overlooking the square, with good graphism of the towers, & marvellous color. Tfs.

Hi Tan
Great compo with so much to see of this fancy architecture. The sky is really dramatic and the saturated colours work well against the dark sky. Almost looks like a toy town from your high POV!

Hi Tan
Lovely point of view of the square. The buildings are so colourful. Amazing the 2-toned grey sky and of course that magical light you see to attract when you take photos - even if you can't attract lightning ;-)

Hi Tan. I certainly like your boosting of the saturation. There's something odd about the shot I can't really place. I can only describe it as blotchy? Maybe I'm crazy (very likely, lol!). Well done Tan. Happy 10,000 points!

Great shot of this city - the contrast between the red roofs of the buildings and the dark, almost black, sky is great. The dark sky gives this a very dramatic look. You also managed to get a lot of detail into this, especially in the town square. Great work!

Hello Tan, I've been to Hungary a couple of time but never to Eger. It looks like I've been missing something special. I love the brightly coloured buildings (maybe just a bit over saturated) and the heavy cloud adds a dramatic touch.

Hi Tan,
A grand, bold sweeping view of the town from a superb POV. I love the prevailing colours of beige and orange blending together, with the smidge of greenery here and there. Great clarity allows one to see and appreciate all the fine architecture. The heavily layered and threatening sky really enhances and creates a dramatic ambience. Well captured, Tan.

Bonjour Tan
C'est plus une peinture qu'une photo, un petit manque de naturel de la scène qui est compensé par des couleurs et des contrastes poussés à l'extrème.
Une interpretation personnelle de cette scène que tu transmets avec brio.
Bien à toi.
Daniel.

Do these storm clouds always follow you around? You did a very good job with the composition, which makes the square and the buildings around it look really appealing. It would make a great Eger postcard.

Yes, amazing isn't it that there's so few from here. Lovely view of my very favourite holiday destination, we've been 8 times to the Senator Haz hotel, the roof of which can be seen in the lower left of your shot. Great shot of the place form the castle, much better than I've managed. Tomorrow I'll post a shot taken from the gallery above the camera obscura, in the college building in the upper far left of your shot.

Tan,
This is a very beautiful picture though the sky is a little grainy. I too wish you had caught a lightning bolt. I have one critique. The image is slightly tilted to the left. I you use the two towers on the left for your reference point it will help correct the problem. Right now the buildings look like they are leaning.

Hi Tan, good you were there to capture this spectacular storm over the colorful city landscape, giving a powerful dimension to the shot, I like how you placed the top of the towers, with their crosses, in the darkest area of the storm, cheers, Daniel

Les tons rouge et ocre jaune dominants s'
accordent bien avec le style architectural plutôt pompeux de l'endroit. Ce cadrage plongeant, vu des toits, rend cette photographie plus humaine.

Hi,
The quality and the resolution is poor, but I think the photograper's eye takes one to be a good photographer rather than his/her camera. The POV is very good, but the most awe-inspiring thing is the set of lights.
Nice shot!
