Christmas time in Eger Photo

Photographer’s Note

There is night shot of central square in Eger, small hungarian town, famouse for its redwine named Bikaver (bull's blood). The square named Dobo Istvan ter, the yellow building in the end of the street is Basilika, the 2nd largest in Hungary.
It was very beautiful sky before sunset, and when the lights was flame up, I took the tripod and went to the square:) Hope you like this charming town. That's pity that here on trekearth not so many pictures of it.

Really like this shot, sky contrasts well against the golden glow of the lights and architecture - I agree there should be more pictures on tE of what looks like a very picturesque town.

Yes, I really like this old town. I was there several times, long time ago, then I had no camera, I bought some postcards about the city. One of my favorite places there, is the Dobo square.
Your photo of the Square is beautiful. I like the Christmas mood of the picture.

YOu are right, this is a beautiful town, but many years since I was last there. A good composition, though perhaps the bush in the bottom right is a little distracting? TFS

I like this shot of Eger a lot. Great contrasts between the twilight blue, the bright white lights of christmas and the amber of the cathedral in the distance. I agree that this town should get more attention. I liked it very much.
