Photographer’s Note

I'm not sure how this will look when I get to a clearer monitor, but this is a shot of the Dobo Istvan Ter in Eger Hungary. It's a really beautiful town, full of baroque buildings, a castle just behind me on a hill and a Turkish Minaret about a block from here. Eger is dominated by churches, the one on the left being the Minorite.

At night, the square becomes quiet, with families and couples casting whispering, giggling shadows as they pass.

This is the first night shot I've posted. It's hand held and I've made some attempts at PP to clean it up, give it a little atmosphere. I decided that there was no way I could change it to the point where it was as good as a tripod shot, so I went another way, tarting up the saturation and contrast and sharpeness on the square. The orange glow on the church is partially due to the lighting on it + inability to get a longer exposure.
