Photographer’s Note

Taken with 3 shutter speed, the longest I can provide with my machine. Unfortunately there are too much lights on the picture, and the window-screen against the insects is visible, but I love this picture. There are two smaller lightenings next to the main strike.

Wow, stunning photo of lightning. I was wondering what was in the view - the insect screen. Very well captured though, with the colours and the lightning.

Althou I like lightining shots a lot there are some problems with this particular photo that does not let me give full 2 points for it:
- insect screen,
- the camera was not fixed onto tripod or some other stable place and the shot is shaken (got frightened by the thunder ;-) ? )
- the horizon is not horizontal - this is minor one as it can be easily corrected with postprocessing

So finally that gives 1 point for the very beautyfull lightning.
/During last lightning storm I made over 200 photographs with exposure time about 3 sec and ended up with 1 (one!) photo on which You can merely see a remains of a lightning :-). So it was not something to show on TE ;-). /
