Photographer’s Note

Gatzea has been my favorite place for an evening out for many years. Located on the Pagasitikos coast about twenty kilometres from Volos offers a wide variety of activities, including a perfect place for a swim, delicious sea food and local "tsipouro" from grapes. That particular day was really funny. That cloud kept moving above our heads and send its shadow selectively on some parts creating this image where light and shadow played a beautiful game of hide-and-seek. I took several photos but I opted for this one as I thought it created the most interesting contrasts.

Hello Argiris!
You´ve chosen a very nice POV! I like this view out to the blue sky and the little boats.
Your eye here was very good. But the technical part could have been done a bit better. That´s no problem when you just realize that on your PC screen. I made a workshop for you and corrected these small things.

I can see some nostalgy for summer time, swimming and tsipouro... Very beautiful 3D cloud and dark blue of the see. This place looks beautiful with the little boats and the red roofs. Kali eudomada,

Very well chosen POV to construct this
beautiful composition; I like that single
cloud predominating the scene. The colors
are nice and vivid; the photo is contrasty.
I also like how some sun rays "touch' the
mountains in the f/g.

ωραίο το σκηνικό από την Γατζέα με το γραφικό λιμανάκι της και το σύννεφο να κάνει να δημιουργεί ένα ευχάριστο παιγνίδι με τις σκιές και το φως.Μου αρέσουν τα κορεσμένα χρώματα και γενικά η γωνία λήψης που δημιουργεί βάθος.

Hello my friend Argiris,
From so many postings I've seen from Greece, Your country really offers endless beauty of the coastline with beautiful sunrise/sunset, wish I will be there with you one day to capture the nature of the great country!
this is another lovely shot with the evening setting over it with those warm colouration and details!
the clouds simply the best for this lovely composition!

maybe the cloud was just lost? All its friends went to north and it was left behind... panicly searching for them...poor fellow :(( :))
I have a name for alone clouds like that...I made it years ago: Andrejcek. It means nothing..just a cuter version of one of slovenians name...usually used with children.
How grateful these lost clouds can be is beautifully seen in your photo...with shadowed and illuminated areas. We really get that summmer feeling of most pleasant day.

what a beautiful place, this looks like a perfect place to spend a day. The lighting and colors are great with nice sharpness. The patterns of water add nice texture to the picture. The brightly colored boats add a nice splash of color to the natural scene.

Λες και το μοναχικό σύννεφο θέλει να κατεβεί και ν' αγγίξει, να χαϊδέψει θα έλεγα αυτό το ήρεμο μέρος. Πανέμορφα χρώματα, η φωτογραφία σε ηρεμεί βλέποντάς τη. Δεν θα σου πω πόσα χρόνια έχω να πάω στην όμορφη Γατζέα, και τι μου θυμίζει... Απλά υπόσχομαι στον εαυτό μου να πάω ξανά βλέποντας αυτή την υπέροχη φωτογραφία σου.

I really like the way you framed both that puffy little cloud and the shadow it casts over the foreground (FG) boats.
I prefer your work to the WS because it loses the detail of the cloud and the dramatic FG shadow.
